when I say boom boom boom you say bam bam bam
Stage 4-2 (Grave) Boss - Blood Ent
from Astyanax - NES, 1990
I couldn’t really find any official name for this thing, the few FAQs that reference it just call it ‘Tree Creature,’ which is a tad on-the-nose. I’ll at least reach for the low-hanging Tolkien reference. The red coloring he has in the game sorta makes ‘im look like more like a big jumble of nerve endings and organs than a tree, so I kinda married that into the interpretation here.
from The Secret of Monkey Island - PC, 1990
"Ah… There’s nothin’ like the hot winds of hell blowin’ in your face."
RIP Lucasarts. Maybe if ya would have kept making awesome original games instead of sucking Star Wars’ teats dry, things’d be different.
The Skullgirls fundraising campaign has less than an hour and is alllmost at the 2nd fan-choice (5th total) character goal!
Surely this guy with no followers making a hasty drawing at the 11th hour will create the push they need!
Stage 7 (Bury My Shell at Wounded Knee) Boss - Leatherhead
"You come in here, but you ain’t never gon’ leave… I guar-an-tee."
from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time - Arcade, 1991
I initially wanted to draw Bebop and Rocksteady, but this guy was one of my favorite TMNT toys growin’ up, and he’s got the best stage music. HEY!
Report 4-2 Boss - Singing Fusion Bot: Purge the King
from Space Channel 5 Part 2 - Dreamcast/PS2, 2002
"Hahahahahaha! Behold the power of the President’s groove!"
You guys, SC5pt2 is the best. THE BEST. In a perfect world, there would have been toys of all the robots in this game, and I would own them alllll.
